A damage system returns to Undercover, but differs from the prior title ProStreet in that the damage is only cosmetic and does not adversely affect performance The customization of cars is similar to Need for Speed: ProStreet but has been enhanced on the level of graphics and detail. The player can gain wheelman (i.e. reputation) points as they progress through the game's story by participating in missions, winning races or performing flashy maneuvers in a police chase
I know that this game wasn't so hot on the other systems (PC, Xbox 360) and stuff. Hey, but the iphone version is majorly hot stuff. Look at the screenshots, you can freaking see logos on cars!!! The grahics are mind blowing for a hand held device. I would say this is proof that a iphone and ipod touch can be used for serious gaming. Look out PSP and DS. Whom ever said As*-fault 4 had amazing graphics must look stupid. Anyways, to accompany that the game play is also amazing and awesome. Before I was always neverous about buying racing games so many of them (Ferrair GT, Fastlane) it was more of a battle to keep the car on the road, as you kissed wall after wall. The controls on this game put me in heaven, it was so easy, so much fun to drive, (not teeth grindingly painful) and there were cool little features like slowing down time to make a last mintue dodge. It was so simple, it allowed you to focus on better parts of the game such as racing, traffic, and cops, oh Yeah! There is some hot cutscences to, with hot girls encouraging you to keep racing, as if you needed encouragement. The levels got challenging and the game, never let up it was a thrill ride. However I finished it in two days and now I wish there was a mutiplayer or more levels. Maybe for an update. This game is shot is worth 7 bucks, best game I bought for the iphone, (lots say that) but really, don't be a chump buy it you can not be disapointed.The only complaint that I have about this game is its lack of control, the autoaccelerate function is the worst idea I've ever heard of in a racing game, control your car by tilting it's not bad but there should be an alternative. And driving is not that realistic. I have a mechanic car (love it) and although I'm not asking for a clutch (A quite hard task in a racing game, most people would hate it) I do ask for control over the car, mechanic transmision would be cool but at least breaking, accelerating and more than one steering option are the necesary things for a good racing game on iphone or touch. I've played several NFS since NFS2 years ago (cool games all), and this is THE BAD one EA games have done better games that's why I've given them 3 stars, good graphics though.
pd for ea games (would they ever read this? :S): mechanical transmision is possible if steering is done by tilting, shifting gears on one side and accelerating and breaking on the other side :D. That would make me happy and I guess a bunch of racing games' players.
